Divali Vacation Chess Classes |
Taleigao Chess Academy is organising Divali Holiday Special chess coaching classes for beginners for 10 ten days starting for Oct 22, 2008.
These class will be of 90 min Morning 9.30 to 11.00 and afternoon 3.00 to 4.30 at Taleigao Chess Academy premises at Dynasty Manor, Odlembhat, Taleigao Goa. Phone : 245 1143, 9403176657
Chess coach Shravan Barve will guide the students.
These classes will be sutaible for 5 to 8 year Children.
Charges Rs.500/- for morning or afternoon session.
There will be holiday on Divali day i.e. 27th Oct. 2008
Special chess tournament will be held on Sunday 2 Nov. 2008 at the venue.

All India Primary Students Chess Tournament |
Preliminary meeting of volunteers to organise SPORTS CARNIVAL in a 14 acre campus of International Centre Goa(ICG), Dona Paula was held at ICG on sunday Oct 12 2008 at 3.30pm. It was attended by 25 sports lovers from all over Goa.
President of Taleigao Chess Academy Chaired the meet.
Convener Shri Shrkiant Barve explained the theme of the event.
It was decided to hold Reunion party of ex-student of various Educational Instituion with a Group Photograph competition.
Best Alumni Group Photo competition will be held on January 24, 25 & 26 at Sports Carnival at International Centre Goa.
Few group photos specifically taken at the event will be awarded a Prizes.
Photograph with description take at the event will be uploaded on Taleigao Chess Academy website www.goachess.org.
Selection will be done on the basis of
1. rare possibility
2. size of the group
Opportunity will be given to visitors of the event, visitors of www.goachess.org to judge the photograph on the basis of rare possibility, size of the group etc.
The Photographs that scores maximum points on various possibilities will get prizes.
All India Primary School Students Chess Tournament from KG to 7th Standard, Stadard wise boys and girls mix will be held with total Prize Money of Rs. 1 lacs. Special Prize for those childred winning all the Nine rounds.
Traditional sports and documentaries on sports to be finalise by year end.
It was decided that Convener Shri Shrikant Barve with the advice of core committee will finalise deal with event organisers "M/s Legends Event &more" from Mumbai.
It was decided to hold the next meeting of volunteers will be held in 3rd week of November 08 at the same venue.
Meeting was concluded by Vote of Thanks by Shri Arjun Halarnkar, Program Manager ICG.

3rd Shri Buddhidata Vinayak (for Boys) and Shri Buddhidevata Vinayak (for Girls) Rolling Trophy Primary School Chess Tournament on Oct. 4 & 5, 2008
3rd Shri Buddhidata Vinayak (for Boys) and Shri Buddhidevata Vinayak (for Girls) Rolling Trophy Primary School Chess Tournament will be held on Oct 4/5 2008 in Association with Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry(GCCI) at GCCI hall, near Azad Maidan, Panaji.
This is Inter Primary School Team Championship. (1st to 4th Standard, Boys and Girls separately) A team of three students from a school can participate. (Each student will play different game). A school can send maximum of three different teams of boys and three teams of girls (total six teams).
Entry Fee Rs.100/- per team.
Your entry along with names of participating students on the school letter head should reach at
a. Taleigao Chess Academy, Dynasty Manor, Odlembhat, Taleigao Goa
b. Goa Chember of Commerce and Industry, GCCI Near Azad Maidan, Panaji latest by Sep 30, 2009.
(Entry fee by Cheque / Draft in favor of ‘Taleigoa Chess Academy’.)
Tournament will be played in five rounds of two hours each. Starting from Saturday 4th at 2.00pm and followed on Sunday at 9.00am to 5.30pm.
Prizes Distribution will be on Sunday 5th Oct 2008 at 5.30pm.
Rolling trophy and Prize worth Rs.1000/- will be awarded to winners and Prize worth Rs.700/- for runners up (Boys and Girls Separately).
Special Prizes for those students who win all the five rounds.
We will announce beneficiaries of our scholarship scheme of Rs. 1000/- per month (October 2008 to September 2009) for few chess players at prize distribution function.
